Charming natural-stone trullo-villa

Hard to believe, but true. A married couple, Italians, booked their holidays in the Cilento with us and they were so satisfied that they decided to let us include their beautiful trullo in the hill-top village of Selva di Fasano in our offer of holiday accommodations.

Our meeting on site brought about not only what we would call a promising collaboration, but also an affectionate contact with the owners Rosa and Sebastiano.

It is in the midst of the picturesque landscape of the trulli valley "Valle d’Itria" and only a few kilometers from the white town of Ostuni and the beautiful sandy beaches of Savelletri and Capitolo (ca. 9 km) that you find Trulli dei Pini, a villa of six domes and a characteristic lamia-structure. Framed by the blue sky and the pine trees and enveloped by the fragrance and the colors of the regional macchia, this charming spot is a place for relaxing in harmony with nature. A pool installed in 2021 in the garden of the holiday home tops off your holidays at Trulli dei Pini in Apulia.

Spacious premises with pool and shaded by pine trees

In the fenced 1000 m² garden, you can live your holiday dream. There are more than enough spots where you can relax and take it easy: be it on the comfortable garden furniture on the roofed terrace, on the garden swing or on a lounger in the shade of the trees.

The pool area in the garden with the ca. 7 m x 4 m pool is also a great place for relaxing and of course cooling off.

An outdoor kitchen with 2-burner gas stove and sink, a grill and an outdoor shower are further conveniences found in the outdoor area.

Elegant and authentic atmosphere inside

During the works of renovation, heed was paid to preserving the former structures of the floors and domes, which make for the special atmosphere inside the holiday home. The furnishing is of elegant simplicity, but there is no lack in comfort.

Via the terrace you enter the tasteful living room with sofa, fireplace and TV. And should you be in the mood for music, there is also a hi-fi unit.

Gorgeous wooden furniture and antique objects adorn the dining room, from where you pass through an arched opening of original stone into the kitchen (incl. 4-burner gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer).

The bedrooms are found in the central area of the trullo: a romantic double bedroom with arched ceiling, a single bedroom and a bunk-bed room for children. The recesses in the walls are used as wardrobes. At Trulli dei Pini, you have got one bathroom (shower/WC) and a half-bath (WC/bidet).

The trulli’s solid, strong walls keep the rooms pleasantly cool during the hot midsummer season and the warmth inside on the cooler autumn and spring nights.

Further furnishing & parking

Furnishing of the holiday home also includes Wi-Fi, thermal fireplace connected with radiators and washing machine. Pellet heating in the central trullo makes a stay during low season even 'cozier'. 

Parking: You can park your car on the fenced premises. A charging station for electric cars is available (charging is free).

Surroundings

Bars, restaurants and grocery stores are only about 500 m from Trulli dei Pini.
To do some quick and smaller shopping, for example, you could use the three bikes the owners place at your disposal.

The gorgeous trullo village of Alberobello is not too far from the holiday home. Stop by to find out more about the life of the former trulli inhabitants and about what their homes looked like.

Also worth a visit: the white towns of Cisternino, Ostuni and Locorotondo, which you can see 'shining' from afar, not only, but the more so when the façades of the light limestone buildings catch the light of the sun.
